Welcome to Zen. The Terms and Conditions contained on this page (“Terms”) apply to your use of the zencookfinder.com website and Zen mobile application (collectively, the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.
Zen is an online platform through which Clients may find, book, communicate with, pay for, and evaluate Chefs. Zen is a technology provider for these services. Unless stated differently in writing, Zen is neither an employee, agent, nor contractor of any Chef, and Zen does not prepare food or provide culinary services to Clients.
You should be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into an agreement. You agree to give us accurate, up-to-date, and complete information about yourself, and you are liable to update it. You will be liable for all the activities on your account, and you are required to maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials. You should inform us of any unauthorized use of your account as soon as possible.
You agree to use the Platform lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
Chefs assure us that they have the legal right to work and provide services in the UAE and possess all relevant permits and licenses. Chefs must ensure that their work is of high quality, safe, and hygienic; they must also ensure punctuality at bookings and correctness of their profiles. Chefs are considered independent service providers, not employees of Zen, and are responsible for their own taxes and obligations.
Bookings will have to be made with proper details, which include location, dates, number of guests, as well as their allergies and any dietary information. It is the client’s responsibility to create a safe working environment and provide proper kitchen access. Also, the clients should show respect towards the Chefs.
Prices and rates are agreed between Clients and Chefs through the Platform. Zen may charge commissions, service fees, subscription fees, or premium profile fees, which will be shown before you confirm a booking or subscription. Payments are processed through third-party providers, and you agree to their terms. All fees are in UAE dirhams (AED) unless stated otherwise and may be subject to applicable VAT.
Zen carries out reasonable checks on Chef profiles, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of any user’s information, skills, or conduct. Clients should use their own judgment when hiring. Users may leave honest reviews based on real experiences. We may remove reviews that are false, abusive, or in breach of these Terms.
All content on the Platform, including the Zen name, logo, design, text, software, and graphics, belongs to Zen or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy or reuse it without written permission. By uploading content such as photos or profile text, you grant Zen a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display it on the Platform and in related marketing.
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” Zen does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, nor the quality, safety or legality of services provided by Chefs. Clients and Chefs deal with each other at their own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, Zen is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including loss of profit, arising from use of the Platform or from services arranged through it. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the fees paid to Zen for the relevant booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for others, or where required by law. Provisions that by nature should survive termination, including fees owed, intellectual property and liability limits, will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms periodically. The updated version will be posted with a new date, and continued use of the Platform means you accept the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any issue. Unresolved disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dubai.
