Terms and conditions

Zen, an asset of Molecule Biz (“Zen”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operates the Zen mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Services”) in the UAE. By accessing or using the Services, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (“T&C”). These T&C apply to all categories of users of the Zen platform.

1. Scope of Services

Zen provides a platform that allows:

• Public Users: search for local cooks, chefs, and catering services.
• Chefs / Kitchen Staff: create and upload profiles, resumes, and certifications.
• Meal Planners / Catering Companies: create business profiles, manage service listings, and interact with clients and chefs.
• Clients / Hiring Entities: review chef profiles, hire staff, and coordinate services.

Zen facilitates connections between these user types. Zen is not an employer, sponsor, visa processor, payroll provider, or legal representative of any Chef, Client, or business entity.

Zen reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at its discretion.

2. Accounts and Membership

Users must create an account to access most Services. Account creation requires:

• Accurate personal or business information.
• Verification of email, phone number, or other details if requested.

Users are fully responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
• All activities that occur under their accounts.

Zen may suspend or terminate accounts for:

• Violation of these T&C
• Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation
• Threats to Zen’s reputation or goodwill

Users must notify Zen immediately of unauthorized access or security breaches.

3. User Content

Users retain ownership of content submitted via the Services (“Content”), including: Profiles, resumes, certificates, business listings, service offerings, reviews, and messages. By uploading Content, Users grant Zen a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

Store, transmit, display, share with other users or clients, and use for the purpose of providing the Services. Adapt or publish Content for marketing or promotional purposes related to Zen’s Services. Users are solely responsible for the legality, accuracy, quality, and appropriateness of their Content. Zen reserves the right to remove, modify, or refuse Content at its discretion if it violates T&C or is objectionable.

4. Recruitment and Hiring Facilitation

Zen may introduce Chefs / Kitchen Staff to Clients for potential employment.

Candidate obligations:

• Provide true, accurate, and up-to-date personal and professional information, including passports, visas, Emirates ID, and certifications.
• Ensure all uploaded documents are valid and correct.
• Understand that documents provided are only for sharing with Clients and are not used for other purposes by Zen.

Client obligations:

• Verify all Candidate information independently.
• Handle Candidate documents responsibly and comply with UAE laws.

Zen is not responsible for:

• Employment agreements, payroll, visas, onboarding, or work performance.
• Disputes arising between Clients and Candidates.

Zen does not guarantee employment, contract terms, or duration of employment.

5. Business Profiles / Service Listings

Meal Planners, Catering Companies, and other business entities may create profiles and list services.

Business obligations:

• Provide accurate, complete, and lawful information.
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws and regulations for business operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in interactions through the platform.

Zen is not liable for any loss, dispute, or misrepresentation between businesses and users.

6. Prohibited Uses

Users must not use the Services or Content to:

• Engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious activities.
• Infringe intellectual property rights.
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or discriminate against other users.
• Submit false or misleading information.
• Upload malware, viruses, or spam.
• Circumvent security features of the Services or third-party systems.
• Use the platform for obscene, immoral, or inappropriate purposes.

Zen reserves the right to terminate accounts and block access for violations.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, software, logos, graphics, and trademarks are owned by Zen or its licensors.bUsers are granted a limited, non-transferable license to use the Services but do not acquire ownership rights.bUnauthorized use of Zen’s intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

8. Data Handling and Confidentiality

Zen handles all personal, professional, and business information in accordance with UAE data protection laws. Candidate documents uploaded for recruitment purposes are only shared with Clients for potential employment. Users must maintain confidentiality for any information received via the platform and may not misuse it.

9. Limitation of Liability

Zen shall not be liable for:

• Candidate performance or conduct
• Business or service disputes
• Employment, payroll, visa, or onboarding issues
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Zen’s total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of AED 1 or amounts paid to Zen in the prior month.

10. Indemnification

Users agree to indemnify Zen, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or costs arising from:

• Use of the platform or Services
• Violation of these T&C
• Misrepresentation or misconduct

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the UAE.
2. Exclusive jurisdiction for disputes shall be the courts of the UAE.
3. Users waive any right to a jury trial.

12. Updates and Amendments

Zen may update or modify these T&C at any time. Updates are effective upon posting in the App. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated T&C.

13. Acceptance

By accessing or using Zen Services, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Acceptance of these terms

You acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to all its terms and conditions. By accessing and using the Mobile Application and Services you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the terms of this Agreement, you are not authorized to access or use the Mobile Application and Services.
